Yesterday i took the second step to a healthy me! Both drew and i attended a weight loss class for my surgery...it was the second step that i took and i am proud of myself! i am on my way to getting my Laparoscopic Roux-en Y Gastric Bypass surgery. And today i got great news from my insurance company saying they are going to cover it!!
This surgery is a blessing for me. This will be a day that i become healthy again like i once was! I can finally say good bye to my diabetes and Asthma and my IBS! I no longer will be worried if i will go blind, loss a leg, have a heart attack or even worse....Die! I know that i can become the healthy person that i once was and come out of my shell!! 10 years ago i weighed 124 pounds and was healthy as one could be. This surgury to me is priceless and gives me and my family hope that i can be that person again! I am excited and nervous but i can get through this.... i am a determinded person! I still have more steps to do and more hurtles climb over but if i get all my steps done in a timely fashion i can have my surgery in 4 to 6 months from now!! That is any where from September to November!
I am going to continue to blog on my progress and steps that i have completed and after my surgery! I am thankful for the support of my family and friends to get through this! I am blessed in every way!
